MOST® Forum 2012 Opens Call for Speakers

Automotive Professionals Are Invited to Present Latest MOST Technology Highlights and Future Outlook

Starnberg (Germany) 9th June 2011 – The MOST Forum 2012 invites speakers to present latest MOST Technology insights and future outlook. For the fourth time, this international MOST conference and exhibition will take place on March 20, 2012 in Frankfurt (Germany). Concurrent with the MOST Cooperation’s All Members Meeting, this one-day industry event on automotive infotainment technology will again present latest and future technologies and application highlights based on MOST. "The theme for the recent MOST Forum was 'MOST150 – Next Step: Rollout'," said Henry Muyshondt, Technical Liaison of the MOST Cooperation (MOSTCO) – the standardization organization for the leading automotive multimedia network Media Oriented Systems Transport (MOST). "Audi and Daimler presented their experiences and status of the ongoing MOST150 production launch and attested that MOST150 has successfully passed comprehensive evaluation and is ready for mass production. Further papers presented research results and visions for possible future scenarios, including gigabit transmission over POF (plastic optical fiber)."

The Call for Speakers for the MOST Forum 2012 is now open, and anyone interested is invited to submit a proposal for a paper by September 15, 2011. The upcoming MOST Forum will again provide an ideal venue to share ideas and experiences, and to discuss the latest news on this de-facto automotive networking standard. The international conference and exhibition will bring together top professionals from the automotive electronics industry and academia to exchange information and results of their recent work on the leading infotainment networking technology. The broad international audience will be composed of researchers, designers, engineers, system developers, as well as purchasers and journalists, up to managers of the industries involved.

Suggested topics for paper submission include, but are not limited to, MOST physical layer, MOST networking and system architecture, MOST software and protocols, MOST compliance and quality, MOST applications and series projects experience, MOST and other standards, as well as research and miscellaneous topics such as consumer products in the car. Several partners will again provide their knowledge and expertise to the MOST Forum.
