4CS- Control & Complex Communication Check System

The 4CS testsuite is an all-purpose software tool used for automated function testing and checking communication performances of complex, high-level control and communication devices used in stand-alone units or in combination with network systems. The 4CS testsuite is particularly suited for testing the communication performance of electronic data transmission systems of a MOST network, as well as interfacing components in MOST peripherals with other bus systems (Gateway tests). Complex analysis functions and active signal filter permit to detect failures in an easy way.

The testsuite 4CS-RT (Realtime) makes it possible to evaluate the rate of reaction as well as the accuracy of the timer. The rate of reaction for the system is up to 1 ms. The compact, mobile and in vehicle usable HW-platform of the Realtime system as well as the open interface as externalized interface to other applications make use of the testsuite 4CS-RT both in the car itself and in laboratory. 4CS supported functions:

• control and manipulation of a DUT
• monitoring the communication process (spy functionality)
• simulation of a DUT

Actually the following interfaces are supported by 4CS: MOST, CAN, LIN, GPIB, RS232, IEEE488, D2B, Analog and Digital I/O, TCP/IP and Media channel.
